Role Overview

The Editor-in-Chief will oversee content strategy, publication management, and brand alignment between Manager’s Corner Magazine and An Hour With A Manager (AHWAM) Podcast. The ideal candidate should be proactive, highly detailed, and capable of integrating digital and print storytelling to expand audience reach.

This is a part-time role, best suited for professionals with consulting experience or those who have worked in high-profile organizations.

Key Responsibilities

Editorial Leadership & Content Management

Define and execute the magazine’s editorial direction to ensure engaging and high-impact content.

Plan and oversee magazine issues, ensuring alignment with leadership, business, and future-of-work trends.

Maintain high editorial standards with clear and compelling storytelling.

Review, edit, and approve all articles to uphold content quality.

Integration with AHWAM Podcast & Promotional Strategy

Align magazine content with AHWAM

Podcast themes to ensure cross-promotion and audience synergy.

Identify opportunities for podcast guests to contribute written content to the magazine.

Develop editorial strategies that leverage both platforms for wider reach and brand impact.

Industry Engagement & Thought Leadership

Foster relationships with industry experts, guest writers, and contributors.

Build an active online presence to enhance brand visibility and credibility.

Work with the marketing team to promote magazine content across digital channels.

Print & Production Oversight

Manage the production process, ensuring timely and high-quality publication.

Coordinate with designers and print vendors to maintain high design and print standards.

Ensure a seamless workflow between editorial, design, and distribution teams.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Experience: Minimum 3 years in magazine publication and print media.

Consulting Background (Preferred): Experience in consulting or working with high-profile organizations is a plus.

Editorial Expertise: Proven track record of editorial leadership in print and digital media.

Strategic Thinking: Ability to connect the magazine and podcast to create a unified brand experience.

Proactive & Detail-Oriented: Self-motivated with a strong eye for quality and accuracy.

Digital & Social Media Awareness: Ability to engage audiences through digital platforms.
